After die casting production is complete, you will undoubtedly be concerned about the quality of the die castings. This is especially true for high-precision die castings or structural components, where dimensional tolerances and internal defects are critical factors requiring close attention. However, there is no need for concern, as Sunrise possesses highly advanced measuring instruments that provide a clear overview of all dimensional data and defect conditions, both externally and internally.
For measuring die-cast part dimensions and tolerances, we utilize CMM, O-Detect, 3D Scanner, and other measurement equipment. For detecting internal defects in die-cast parts, we employ X-Ray inspection instruments.
Need mechanical property reports for your die-cast parts? We’ll run tensile test machines to capture tensile strength, yield strength, and other key values. If your parts serve as seals or have strict airtightness specs, we’ll also perform a leak testing machine to verify sealing integrity.
With 15+ years in die casting, Sunrise uses calibrated measurement equipment to ensure your parts meet international quality standards.
CMM
Our ZEISS VAST XXT CMM delivers micron-level accuracy, even on highly complex die-cast geometries. It’s the right tool when you need tight control of hole spacing, flatness, concentricity, and more. After inspection, we’ll share the full measurement data and a clear report so you can confirm every casting meets your industry requirements.

O-Detect
Need non-contact inspections? O-Detect is built for small, thin-walled die-cast parts. It quickly measures outer profiles, holes, and feature spacing—ideal for fast checks during high-volume production.
3D-Scanner
The physical parts produced by die casting may differ from the nominal CAD models. During the first article inspection phase, it is essential to scan the entire die-cast part using a 3D scanner. Comparing the results obtained from the 3D scanner scan with the nominal CAD models enables further optimization of the mold design. Moreover, it provides a clear visualization of issues such as deformation, shrinkage, and warping in the die-cast parts.

Industrial X-ray CT Scanner
If a die-cast part has internal defects—excessive porosity, shrinkage cavities, inclusions, or cracks—even the best surface treatments won’t stop corrosion over time. That’s why internal integrity checks are essential for marine, industrial, and automotive applications. At Sunrise, we use CT scanning to see inside your castings and deliver detailed insights into their internal structure.
